I’m with David, always good to share widely. The method David describes is how I’ve always done it, although I’ve found it simpler to set up ‘macro’ buttons to set the frequency and also put the radio in the right mode, etc. So I have a ‘20m PSK31’ button which sets the frequency to 14070.0, puts the radio in DATA MODE, etc. I find that a lot less fiddly than using the frequency list.

And if you’re just wanting fldigi users to have in your pocket as a resource, put me on the list. I’m happy to help anyone I can with any fldigi issue I can field. I’m no expert but I’ve got a fair number of psk QSOs all done with fldigi.

No reason not to share. The easiest way is

1. select a spot in the list
2. set to the few you want
3. hit the plus sign to add

Is there something more specific you are looking for?

APE this Wed/Thurs

F.R. Ashley <wd4psa@...>

This Wed/Thurs looking great for me but again I'll be QRP only and will be only on 20 meters.   I hope to get in 4-5 hrs, I know that isn't much but best I can do for now.
Normally my QRP is CW only and this PSK APE'ing has revealed the problem with overheating with the KX2.  So I am now thinking of a 100-watt rig for PSK portable so I'll be looking at some use rigs but that FT-891 looks tempting!

Hi All - The sixth annual KC9UR Pontoon Portable APE will be conducted on Saturday, August 25th and Sunday, August 26th.  Stan (W9SMR/9) and I plan to set up Saturday morning the 25th, and hope to be on the air by 1pm EST.   We will be operating two rigs on the 80m - 10m bands (each rig on a separate band), propagation permitting.  We plan to operate Saturday afternoon and evening as well as Sunday morning and early afternoon, We will keep the group informed via this forum.  Like last year, as a concession to our advancing years, our shack will be on the front porch of Stan's cottage, not on the actual boat.  The front porch looks out over Round Lake and the Pontoon boat (it's a beautiful sight).  As in past years we will be offering a nice paper QSL (just send us your QSL and SASE), and a really nice certificate for the APE Hunters who work us on 3 bands.  Obtaining an APE Hunter's Certificate will be a bit more challenging this year because of the shorter operating time and propagation conditions, but I know many of you are up for the task!  We really enjoy working so many of you and look forward to reconnecting with you then!

Rick

I'm back home now.  Not much was on 40, only heard a few stations   The KX2 began heating up to the point of shutting down even at 4-5 watts out.  Now I have the excuse I need for a new 100-watt rig, maybe something along the lines of a FT-891 or Icom 7100!  I'm planning on going to a different place a little closer to home, hope to see you then.

Hi all.

it is now 1906Z, I put my wire up so now will attempt 40 meters 7.071.   I'm getting hammered on 20 by other stations and modes. Bear in mind I'm QRP !    I'll stay here 2 more hours before packing up and heading home.   Well just as I typed that a WinLink station cranked up on top of me on 40m..
