Once a station gets set up for electronic logging, it works for all modes. Thus, hopefully, it will be easier to confirm PSK contacts going forward as well.

Confirmations via mail and the bureau are a lot of work and expensive. It takes longer to generate a QSL card than it did to make the contact in the first place. It can take months, years, or even decades (ask N9AVY about that) to get confirmations through the bureau.

That would make sense, since the only real value to FT8 is
working/confirming different entities.

W8IXI worked him before me.

CO6MCG both before and after me. (Looks like they weren't sync'ed up.)

W2MAK after me.

And now he's responding to Steve VA3TPS.

The syntax he's using would be consistent with a non-native English speaker. He says he QSLs via LoTW (among others). We'll see.

Looks like he was active today from his QRZ log, but it only shows SSB with U.S.; however, he might have been trying PSK.  He QRZ page says he QSLs LOW, Eqsl and direct.  So, it's very likely you did work him. Several of us worked  YB8MAN recently.

Good catch !

I'm looking for a few more LONP points to get to the next level. Anyone around who I haven't worked yet?

At this moment (0053z, Sunday evening local) 20 looks open to (at least) FL, OH, and TX (based on signals I'm copying). 40 is open to (at least) KY, PR, New England, Mid-Atlantic states, and pushing to TX and FL.

I had the HRD logbook crash issue – HRD just sent me a beta version to test. I installed it and ran a few minutes, logging a QSO and generally just dinking around. Before, it would crash often – even when just making a menu selection or changing focus from logbook to another window and back. Also it would only lookup one callsign, then would fail any subsequent lookups.

With the new beta, so far it performed. I will update you all when I have an hour or two to test it further when there’s more activity for me to see on the waterfall. Conditions in the PNW are sorta crummy right now.

So HRD users – looks like a fix is definitely coming shortly! I don’t think they have posted the beta yet – I had to get it via dropbox from the tech.

Roger that Barry.  That problem will be fixed by Matt & David.

But there are several who still have "070 Number" problems (generally that no 070 number was reported for the exchange) that CAN be corrected before scoring closes.  Several of those were associated with HRD Log and people have been doing a work-around and resubmitting.  I just didn't want anyone to get caught out because they didn't have a look at their results after submitting.
