Not seeing anything on 20M but a couple of signals on 40M.  Don’t know if you are able to try 40M or not?

My most interesting contact was with N6CEK, Charles, 070-2163 which is probably the first PODX mobile to mobile QSO on psk31.  We both were running IC7100 thru 20 mtr hamsticks, with the XYL driving.

I worked John KE4JB in New York.  Propagation seemed to be better to the West Coast that to the East of mid West.

I will be on the air tomorrow around 0900 EDT, heading North to Little Rock.  Will see if propagation is better tomorrow.   I will send e-mail before I leave.

Thanks Stan for the reports.

Re: video card

Matthew King - AK4MK <kk4cps@...>

Larry, it really depends. Is this a laptop or desktop? How is your 1st monitor hooked up? Not to the HDMI port, I'm assuming?  If it's free, then you MAY can hook a 2nd monitor via HDMI to it and be good to go, but it may take over as the main monitor output.

Since it's sitting there, it wouldn't hurt to try it. If it's a desktop, you can always get an inexpensive video card to go in it that has multiple outputs and go that route, disabling the "on board" video ports in the hardware settings.

Maybe you know somebody with an extra HDMI monitor (or even TV, just for testing) that you could hook up to see how it behaves?

Good luck!

I see two psk31 signals, one at 14071 that seems to be recovering from some qsb, another about 300hz lower that’s not as strong and seems not quite as clean, and then about 280Hz below that, an MFSK16 signal.

So I’m not sure what the excitement might be about?  If that’s your signal at 14071.0, and you asked me how your signal looked, I’d tell you it looked great to me, but maybe you should work on your typing speed. 😜

I presume you are the higher freq with the flag marker. Ur sig looks gud to me.
There appears to be some manual KYBD typing as there is pauses in the signal.
Also looks like QSB having some fun with ur signal as weaker at bottom and stronger at top.
I am not sure what you perceive to be awry.

Have not comfortable with this TS-570S  and Signalink since I sent FT-100MP in for repair. Noticed that the waterfall is not as wide and starts at 14070 and ends before it gets to 14072; so am missing some contacts above 14072.  Also can't adjust ALC as easily as I could with 1000MP;  ALC seems to get 2  bars or none.

Thanks again  Steve!

Jerry -

I'm not sure what you are asking about. Are you suggesting that this is a problem?

I see a very strong, clean signal at 14071, which I presume is yours (since the cursor is on it). It looks like you are typing manually, because there are gaps (where there are just parallel lines). Every time you see a crossing, the BPSK modulation is switching phases.

There's also something else (maybe MFSK?) below another BPSK signal at 14070.7. That BPSK signal doesn't seem as clean as yours, though there could also be artifacts from the MFSK on top of him, distorting his signal.
