I copy you off my 6BTV 599....but I can't transmit on that antenna as the lowest my tuner will take it is 5.6:1. Sure wish the end fed was up...too dark to do it now!

160 Meters Tonight?

All this talk about 160 meters has me wanting to play.  Winter will be over before we know it and 160 will be nothing but noise again.

I’m going to start CQing about 0200 at 1.807 + about 1700.  Since the last time I was on 160, a nasty raucous noise has appeared centered at about 1000 Hz and about 500 Hz wide, so I have to stay pretty far North in the bandpass.

I plan on using 1.807 as the base frequency.  1.838 is supposed to be the European PSK freq, but I have little hope of making any EU contacts on this limited antenna.   Hope to work you!  You would be a "ATNO" for me on 160.
