Am deciding to take advantage of being off work tomorrow to attack some of my missing blocks in the 24x7 Challenge. Band conditions are killing me, though!!  I'm actively calling CQ, swapping between 40m and 80m every few minutes, as well as between the 2 antennas I have in the yard. Hoping to get something in this 07:00 UTC hour, and to be able to stay awake for the 08:00 UTC hour!

I'm no where near finishing - but just slowly working towards it.

Barry,
I was in and out yesterday but when I looked didn't see much.

Thanks for trying.  The prop just didn't work with us this year and when it did I was off the air.  Figures.

Will look for you in 2018 anyway.

Didn't mean to interrupt your DX quest, only heard 3 or 4 U.S. stations on.

BTW, the antenna work I did improved the SWR, but not the reception. hihi

Re: 6W NOT an IOTA ?

There is no Marjol Island listed on IOTA list. Have googled Marjol Is.  with zero results and have scanned map of Senegal with zero results.  No,  not AF-078.  Only Carabane is listed and all others are excluded.

Good try.

Senegal Island may not be the right Name

According to dx-world.net Carabane Island is AF-078

at SAME Location on West Coast of AFRICA

I Googled 6W and this is what came up

I agree with Jerry.

First of all, there's an article by WA3DX's wife (KC3BHD) at

https://dxnews.com/single-op-senegal/

This is apparently their second trip there, as the article is dated 3 Nov 2017, and they had just returned to Philadelphia.

In the article, Fatu (KC3BHD) describes operating from Marloj Island in the Saloum Islands. The Saloum Islands would be part of AF-045, the Senegal North group, but they are explicitly listed as being excluded. My guess is that they're not really "open sea islands", but part of the Saloum river delta, and river delta islands are disqualified under rule B.1.1.
