Re: Two new 366ers!
David Blankenburg, AK7DB
Very glad to make this milestone! Now I can put away the calendar with the days I needed circled on it and just make contacts for the fun of it! I was completing a mission before today.
Glad the club has fun endorsements to work towards, now it's on to finishing the last remaining 20 timeslots I have left. Lots of 3 and 4am mornings to finish out. Dave, AK7DB

Thanks very much to Rick and all of the other members that provided the support, encouragement and contacts over the past 18 months for me to complete this endorsement. This award is really a team effort of many members of the club. Regards, Denny - KI3F

Re: PODXS Net???
Well, no body really needs Net Logger except for the Net Control Stations. I believe the initial setup is what might take quite a while as someone would have to try and get most of the regulars in somewhat of a database, so when that person checks in, all his information will pop up on the Logger. Now, those that download the Logger and use it, you will see everyone that has checked in and it is color coded as to whether they have checked out or who is up for making calls. that way you know exactly where you stand and when your turn will be. It really is a very neat little program.

I use it when I check in to the OMISS nets and sometimes there are up to 50 - 70 checkins on any one net!!! Needless to say those nets can run for several hours!!!

KC8 station, my apologies
Jon Greene - wx5nco <wx5nco@...>
I need to apologize to the group and to a KC8 station. I was starting a QSO with Steve, W1HS, when someone started calling CQ right on top of us. My signal report to Steve could have been interpreted as being rude (59 when not being walked on). If you were the KC8 station, I apologize. With the bands the way they are, you most likely didn't see us, and we didn't see you until BAM, the band was open. 73 Jon Greene WX5NCOTulsa, Oklahoma EM26 070 - 592 30DMC - 1233 DMC - 741 EPC - 5134 1010 - 74420

Re: PODXS Net???
Marty Grove
I hadn't thought about Net Logger or something similar (good idea
Dan, KZ3T). I started kicking the idea around a couple weeks ago after
stumbling on to an informal Contestia net in which I joined in.
It appears they were conducting their net the ol' fashion way; net
control called for members first using call prefixes, then calling
for non-members by prefix. Stations signing in to the net would
notify net control if they had priority traffic or not. Then net
control would repeat all the logged calls and then go through the
entire call list, starting with any priority traffic and give each
person an opportunity to say something. Some people used their
time to log a contact with someone else on the net (call sign
& signal report exchange) if they didn't have that station in
their log. Others would simply say something about their selves
(recent interesting contacts, local weather, still breathing...
that sort of thing). Due to current conditions it might be a good idea to have a
couple "net controllers", one station west and one station east of
the Mississippi for relays that can hear each other. Anyway, just thought i'd toss the idea out there. It seems there
is some interest in it and it might give other digital users an
opportunity to find PODXS via radio and join the club. Marty - KJ4LQX
