Rick - I'd love to work you from DN38. Don't need DN28 (though I'm looking for you), but DN38 would be a new one for me. Unfortunately I'm likely to be at work the whole time you're on the air, unless you are still on at 2200z. Steve W3HF

Never mind the assist – I worked all 20m not 40m my bad.. OH well, it was a miserable day anyways to make contacts in TN land… Heard nothing on 40m and 20m was no better. Disregard all my previous whining’s!

Got it to upload by filtering out only those that are relevant… is a 070 number required to be in a field somewhere? I thought any/all psk contacts were valid for this…
If any/all are valid than I got credit for nothing. Help?

Folks looking for some rarer DX might want to give 20 meters a try. Right now on 20 meter PSK31, solid copy but weak. CE0YHO Easter Island, 4J3J Azerbaijan, YT1TM Serbia, all are working USA stations. Also there is at least one HK station in there if you're working on the Columbia 2016 Award.
Happy Radio!

Wide signal
FWIW Monitored a VP5 station this morning get a report from an East Coast station that he had a wide signal and was all over the band. I saw no evidence of that here in Illinois with 3 element yagi aimed at the VP5 station. Sometimes it's just propagation and not a bad signal. Am wondering if , perhaps, the East Coast station was getting a strong signal which was overloading his AGC and thus seeing what appeared to be a "wide" signal. Turning off AGC and inserting some attenuation would have made that "wide" signal disappear. After the QSO/bad report the VP5 went away. Be careful when giving out "wide signal" reports. It might be best just to give a 599 report and move on... Jerry N9AVY #454

N7WE/P update
We've been on the road now a little over 3 months. So far I have operated (PSK31 only) from 10 states, 36 different grids, and activated 5 National Parks for NPOTA. Tomorrow we will head toward Glacier National Park with hopes of activating it sometime this week. There will be new Montana grid squares coming as well.
I'm generally on for a while each evening (365+1 you know!) somewhere between 00:00 and 03:00 UTC and usually try 20m first and then go to 40m if the band closes. I greatly appreciate every answer to my calls. Sometimes we don't have internet or cell phone access out here in the Rockies, so spots or posts to this group are greatly appreciated! I QSL each contact via LoTW, eQSL (AG), and QRZ. Sometimes it take a few days if we don't have internet at a particular campsite. Hope to work you soon! 73, Rick - N7WE - 070 #1602
