W6QP APE status report!
Well, this is the 1st year we've done our annual APE effort without the Internet. I'm using my iPhone as a "Hotspot" and connecting to it with my iPad. It's ok for an occasional email, etc., but far from the home station setup. Conditions have been pretty good thus far and I enjoyed following the guys on 40m last night. It paid off as I worked several new members for LONP credit. W6QP is currently at 126 Q's on 4 bands. I'll stick with it until my XYL makes me pull the plug and head down the hill. Back to my waterfall. Just sayin', 73 de, Red W6QP and, Milt. N6MG

Re: moving up the list
John Etling
I briefly saw WB4MNK so never actually worked him. Got CO6CG which is all I needed for the time slot. Let me get out of the “WOW, I am tired” stage and I will be more than happy to assist anyone work their way up the grid…. Be specific of day/time and if the noise/static gods decide to be quiet or at least talk in a low roar I will help anyone. I understand the time and effort (now) it takes to get the hardest hours available. I’d help with the 11:00 am hour (i.e. 16:00 Central) if I awaken by then and get on in time.
So, in summary, 2 days – 100% success and those days are now closed out as complete.
I am going to find a bed to fall into and not wake up for oh… maybe 15 hours or thereabouts to start this all over again tonight.
Thanks to all who TRIED and those who actually was able to get through the noise to me.
Wednesday is going to be the hardest challenge as I have time slots spread out all over – with 2 hour breaks in between but I am devoted to getting these done if possible.
The fun begins at 02:00 Central time (07:00 UTC) so see all then, assuming something unforeseen does not jump in my way.

You are correct, I am in Western TN, but barely by state charter…
I am literally ½ between Nashville and Memphis by driving distance but favor just a bit towards Nashville via air miles… just west of the Tennessee River.
Arkansas… I think NO ONE lives there that has Amateur radio… I have not seen an AR station in months, then when I finally do actually work one, even though they say the confirm eQSL/LoTW et al, none ever come through…
I am having difficult time getting into KS most days but occasionally I get a few out of there. It is not a total loss there.

My suspicion is that you are in western TN and far enough west to be in my donut hole or on the edge of it. the map of pskreporter shows the stations that hear me strongly start at about 400 miles radially from my vertical and extend out to British Columbia when my wattage is less than 30Watts to operate inside this hole I have to go to 80M which has been a real victum of the noise gremlins, When 80M opens later this year we should be able to connect if that is the culprit. I have almost no Arkansas contacts below 80M. but MS AL GA,FL are fine. Just saying kd0fip 1396 73

Somehow we have GOT to get connected. I am hearing stations beyond you, in front of you, but for some reason Kansas seems to be a complete dead spot to me.
I may have heard you thus why I was having a problem decoding Byron for a bit, once the band settled I was finally able to grab him.
Next hour will be tough and I will CQ in the exact same spot I was with Byron if you are there to try. I really want to get you in the log, for your persistence in trying as helping you out (hopefully) for something you are working towards.
Hopefully in 15 minutes, we can get this connected!!

My cheapo software does not want to unscramble your trace for some reason I get bits and pieces of your call-sign and about 5% of your trace seems like a real word. Think N7WE has you for this hour and the coast should be waking in the next. I am still cheering you onward and upward. Do you have 30M we might give it a try tomorrow morning. it is usually very low noise. kd0fip 1396 BTB back to bed

Excellent night on 40m
W7RIV
I couldn't want to try some new tricks I have been learning and test out somethings. 20m has been terrible, so I decided to tune up on 40m. I'm very glad I did. I think PODXS070 was the owners of the band...except for N4EMP. Though I think we should message him and let him know about the club. Very happy to work quite a few spots on the 24x7, thanks or the motivation K3JAE. I was also able to work some APE, QRP and all sorts of fun things. Take care everyone...my addiction has left me typing this 4 hours before I need to be up for work. Bryon W7RIV
