Re: K3LRH Southern Delaware

....many thanks to ALL. TED, you can't imagine how many times I get ops needing Delaware as their last state for WAS. At least a couple every week, maybe more. Maybe I should charge a fee and I would welcome you as my agent. JOE, a special thanks to you for suggesting that I join the 070 Club. Without your suggestion I would have not even considered joining. It's always good to CU on the bands and I appreciate the "white" card that you sent me two years ago. MATT, thanks for your help getting me started too, and also JIM, W5FER, for sending me the primer on converting HRD logs to ADIF. Haven't tried it yet but will one of these days. Currently trying to work out a problem with one of my rigs. 73 Len K3LRH "Delawhere?"

Re: CU2AP
Jim & others, I use the "PSKMeter". It works, & is very versatile. I have 100 % piece of mind, and a 2nd one as a spare, (200% peace of mind! Hi Hi ) It's in kit form with all parts available when you order it. Under $100. I'm sorry that our path's didn't cross yesterday. If you want to try again today, let me know when and what band. I used to crop these down on a signal I was in QSO with, print it on a matte photo paper, and on the back I ran it through the printer with a QSL format. My QSL card to a station was a pic of my screen, showing his waterfall signal and all of the QSO details. Milt. If you are really serious about PSK and you want to be certain you have a clean signal, consider getting a IMD meter designed by kk7uq. To learn more about the meter Google IMD meter or kk7uq. It is no longer being produced commercially, but I got mine a few months ago from Jim Nuytens, N3JJA at jim.kj3n@.... If you are interested in one, contact Jim at the email address provided and see if he still is making them. I got mine about six months ago for about $140. The meter is a stand-alone wide-band HF receiver that samples your transmitted signal as radiated by your antenna. It calculates the IMD for both PSK31 and PSK63 (not PSK125). It can also be used as a field strength meter. When used in IMD mode, it calculates the width of your signal as you transmit and outputs the measured IMD. If your signal is too wide, it will beep and flash a red light. It is powered by a small wallwart, so I just leave mine plugged in and ready to go. Ray N9RWC 070# 1793

This is how I got Thailand and Easter Island last year on PSK31. Some of the rarer DX stations will not call CQ but will answer yours then they will again disappear before the pileup piles up.

Well 10 was open for a while to South Africa, Brazil, Azores, and others
but closed here now, not seeing any traces in the waterfall.

Got a call from N2MLP saying my signal is wide and messing up the band. Also talked to KE4JB about my signal. He says it is fine in New York. However N2MLP insists it is wide, I am running 35 watts into a Gap Titan DX on 28120 with low SWR. No ALC showing, and processor is off. I see no reason for my signal to be wide except for the nature of propagation.
Please if anyone else see my signal and thinks it is wide or dirty let me know so I can further investigate.

Believe me, I do my share of calling CQ!
If anyone sees me on the band, let me know how my signal is. During a recent QSO with a SA call, someone came on freq and asked "cb amp?" Don't know if he was referring to me or the other station. I do no use an amp, I am barefoot with 40 watts max.
