I have had a couple of people do that, also, but for me it is no big deal as I usually "hunt and pounce" rather than call CQ.  Since they are initiating each section of the exchange, I just reply in kind...if they send station info, I send station info, if they send a weather report, I send a weather report, if they tell me everything in their shack, I will do the same!

Interestingly, including the temperature and conditions (85 F & Sunny) in my station report has gotten a lot of positive response...I guess all hams like weather!  :-)

I have also run into a couple of people who had really long closings...a couple that took several minutes to complete...

It's all good though; if we were all the same, life sure would be boring!

Hi Bill
I did get enough to get you in the log.  20 has been unusually open in the evenings here lately so if the WX holds out I will jump back on tonight.  I think I may have done my UTC conversion wrong earlier so to make it simple look for me around 7:00 PM MDT.

According to my check, it appears that CX1FU, member 1780 is the latest member in the Genlog file.

Per Milt, it is acceptable for me to post my Bonus station QRG from time to time on the contest reflector.  I will have some intermittent operation, so if you haven't subscribed to the 070 contest reflector, you might find that useful.

If 6M opens up I will fire up the 6M beam for a while as well, to help some of us get that 6 on 6 endorsement.  Please post on the reflector if you become aware of an opening on the left coast.

When the prop is USA only I think I'll use 7070, because it's just us - the PODXS 070 Club members.  When I need DX members on 40 then it'll be 7035.

Please join me on 7070.

PHP is a scripting language used mostly for web pages.  It is what gets the data from a form you fill out, and then performs the action required to process the data, either issuing SQL commands to a database, sending a file with the information to someone, or whatever needs to be done with the data.  It is then used to create a dynamic web page with the response to the sender.

Hey David,

It's custom stuff I wrote in .PHP

Better not to bother you - you have enough going on!

Charlie -- what software are you using?

I have the full set of mixw icons on http://hamclubs.info as well as formats for several other programs ...

If yours isn't on there, can you send me a sample of the format it needs?  And i'll definitely add it.

Greetings all,

I'm looking forward to TDW - very much.

My macros are loaded.  My icons are updated (lotta work, I was behind).  I'll toss the 10/15M vertical out on the hill tomorrow.

But here is the burning question: on 40M, shall I work on 7035 or 7070?

When the prop is USA only I think I'll use 7070, because it's just us - the PODXS 070 Club members.  When I need DX members on 40 then it'll be 7035.

Please join me on 7070.

Oh.  And then I did my yearly swearing in: "I swear that I will NOT answer anyone who gives me an initial call that includes their entire contest exchange."  That's just not good contesting.  And it's irritating.  And potential QRM.

Good luck to all in TDW.
