American Somoa - WTW Spreadsheet is Updated

John,
Give me a bit of time on that one. I have to locate the Excel file that the PDF was made from, add American Somoa, then convert to PDF again.
Not an issue, but it's all time, my only resource. Yesterday was my YL's birthday and was devoted to making her world a happy place. Today we're back to the routine. Hi Hi...a few minutes ago I asked her to make me a cup of coffee. She goes, "POOF!, You're a cup of coffee!" :>)
That excel file is here in my 1.2 TB special 070 Club external drive someplace and it's on my list for today.
Spelling, if wrong, will be corrected.
73,
Milt.

Milt,
I'd appreciate a PDF please as that's what I am using at the moment.
Also, isn't the spelling incorrect for American Somoa? Shouldn't it be an 'a' and not an 'o' as in Samoa?
I haven't got that far yet anyway.
Regards,
John.

The Excel spreadsheet on the KJ4IZW Award Checking website has been updated to
reflect both American Somoa, and Samoa.
All you need to update your personal records is to run your log through the
checker, click on WTW after your log is through "Running", then click on "XLS"
and save that file. That would also be the file you would forward to me when you
have a portion completed.
If there's enough of a demand, I may do another Adobe PDF file for SAOCC.
(Oceania). That file, if done, would be posted on the 070 Club website.
Thanks for your patience and pls enjoy the remainder of the weekend.

Re: WTW

Bill, and participants in WTW,
I have a permanent solution to this and it's being implemented.
Give me the weekend to iron out the details and get everything in place.
You can imagine that with an Award & Endorsement program as WTW is, each change to the existing is important.
More to come on this.
73 and thanks for your interest, participation and pointing this out.

Hi Paul,
American Somoa is listed as "Somoa". The Independent State of Somoa is listed as "Somoa". Two listings.
This is my mistake. Because we have already received a completed Oceania WTW Endorsement log, it probably won't be ammended to add "American" to the spreadsheet. It wouldn't be fair to go back and tell somebody that they played by the rules, submitted their log, but we changed the rules and their log is now incomplete.
I'll probably add something to the FAQ section explaining the two Samoa's.
My apology to you and the club for the confusion. It truly is an oversight as this was brought up when we were crunching the rules and spreadsheet before the 'opening' on July 1st.
In my haste to get everything done and kicked off on time, it was never corrected.

Milt.

My worksheet for Oceana does NOT include American Samoa. Also Dave's spreadsheet
does not include American Samoa.
Apparently I downloaded early versions of both. Have revised versions been
issued? What is the correct character count for Oceana? I see 117, is that
correct?

There is, in fact, two separate Samoa's.
Independent State of Samoa, An independent country and a member of the United
Nations.
The other is American Samoa, an American protectorate, but has separate "entity"
status when it comes to counting as a country in the world of DX.
