Hi All,
When I first saw the pic I was a bit confused, but then I remember someone
saying "isn't Rhat Steve's call". Then it dawned on me (duh) thats the same
pic I have been using as wallpaper for the last 2-3 weeks.
Found it while surfing the web.

I first saw it when I was a kid, but can't remeember what publication it it
appeared in.

Re: some hams are just lucky..

Joe,
Those close friends that I have here on the reflector know that I usually, on "operating event" weekends, give my YL $100 and send her off with her girlfriends to a casino for lunch, supper and the $.05 slot machines.
She didn't want to go this weekend because of the severe weather we had in So. California.
Her assignment was to keep me hydrated...water, iced tea and coffee.
Several of the members have met my YL, Sandy, and know she's a good sport. I've told her on more than 1 occasion, that "I was a ham before I met you and don't make me make a choice". She blows a little puff of air at me and laughs. I really look forward to our "operating events", and wish we had more members on the West Coast.

IOTA ADDENDUM 2

J Budzowski <jbudzowski@...>

Please note that a record of all IOTA entities submitted for the IOTA endorsement is being maintained for each applicant. Therefore, there is no need to send previously submitted IOTA numbers when applying for IOTA endorsement upgrades. To facilitate record-keeping, the IOTA endorsement manager requests that endorsement upgrade applications consist ONLY of new IOTA numbers worked since your last application. Do not resend log data unless requested. Also, it is not necessary to sort your log entries by IOTA number as the new entries are sorted during processing. For information on the IOTA endorsement and all endorsements currently available to 070 Club members, check out <http://www.podxs070.com/endorsements-available> .....Tnx in advance de Jay N3DQU

Re: new member

Gerry Lerch

Thanks, Chuck. I had the pleasure of working you and 8 other members during the contest yesterday, in the short time I had between helping my son move to a new home in the morning and blowing up balloons for a school carnival in the afternoon.

Kudos to Jay N3DQU and the club's membership approval process, as I emailed my application info at 6:45am yesterday and had my reply with membership number back within 2-1/2 hours.
