Thats pretty much the climate there.  rarely gets above 80 and below 70.   It rains somewhere on the Island every day.   Humid during the summer, little drier in the winter

I did learn that Guam's climate is in the 80's most of time and seldom
varies more than a couple degrees; so no need for cold wx gear, hi !
According to weather.com, the current 10-day forecast shows highs from 82 to 85 F, and lows from 77 to 78 F. But this is the rainy season--every day has a 60% chance of showers!

My only Question
Since Simon used a lot of engines (for instance PSK is the FLDIGI engine he was allowed to use) that were developed by other people.  Does this now entail legal issues since he was given rights to use it as long as his software was free or donate ware.  People making money off the rights wont be well received IMHO.

Unlikely.   Their website at  <http://www.w4pcsoftware.com/>

Given their current products, HRD is a great fit in their commercial
software product line.  I can't imagine why they would just give it away.

Have a nice trip Steve !

Back in the 80's I was QSL Manager for then-AH2E on Guam; he made a lot of QSOs every year. He was a school techer and his career ended when all the teachers went on strike. Also, knew KB7IJ/KH2 who was at Naval Base.

I did learn that Guam's climate is in the 80's most of time and seldom varies more than a couple degrees; so no need for cold wx gear, hi !

Unfortunately, I don't know anyone there these days. Hope to see you on waterfall !

No, not today. But maybe next week...

I have a short business trip to Guam next week, and I think I've lined up a station at which to operate. This is primarily a work trip, so my schedule will NOT be driven by amateur radio activities. But I'm hoping to get some time to play, and really hoping that PSK will be part of that.

I'll be taking my FT-817, at the very least to make sure I have a laptop/radio combination that works to use with their antennas. But I'm told that the station has an interface that works with their "big" radios, so I may be able to put out more power than the 817's five watts.

I really don't know exactly what my schedule will be, though. I am expecting that (local) evenings will be my free time, so that probably means something like 0800z to 1300z on some combination of the 21st, 22nd, and 23rd. This will be my first trip to Guam, so I'll also take some of that free time to sightsee. It's possible that my work may be done early, leaving me more time to play before my flight home on Saturday morning (2000z on the 23rd).

I know that I will have internet access at the hotel; I'm not sure about the station. So I won't necessarily be able to post my activities in real time, but I'll do what I can.

As a further note about ADIFMaster…it runs just fine under Crossover for Mac in OS X, and likely under WINE as well.

It is a great tool for editing/converting/manipulating ADIF files.
