Greetings all,

Due to the number of members of LONP and the ever-increasing number of QSOs
they have on file for LONP credit, the method of submitting updates for LONP
credit must be changed. This change will take effect on 01 January 2010.

Existing members of LONP must now submit their updates for LONP credit
listing ONLY NEW QSOs to be considered for credit. This is easily done by
running the AI4OF LONP Checker Program, comparing the new output to the last
entry submitted and editing the new info to remove previously submitted
QSOs.
I will take a look at the program and make a couple of changes to it.
Since we can assume that the LONP submissions are in date order I can
make it filter out older ones.

For example, if you are at LONP 100, going for 150 or higher, you would
enter your previous attained number, 100, and I would output the newer
ones only

Should be pretty easy and make it easier on everyone.

PB7XYL # 1057, and EI3GRB # 1045, SP1DOZ # 0357 were on 30M at 14:00z today. But unfortunately I was not able to make the contact. All three had great signals into Ohio, until the W1 stations started booming in calling CQ on top of the DX.

Re: 20M QRP

Steve W3HF

Actually, on BPSK it doesn't matter, as long as you can find the signal. BPSK is symmetric, so if you can see the trace, you'll decode it properly. The same is NOT true of QPSK (or RTTY). That's why most software has an inversion feature, but it's only available on the non-symmetric modulations.

So it doesn't matter if you use LSB at 7035 or LSB on 7038--you'll be looking at the same 3 kHz passband. Just be careful if you use phrases like "the strong signal above us", as above/below will be inverted.

But Mark and Phil are right wrt to quoting frequencies. Most PSK band plans (including the ones on the 070 web site) are based on USB operation on all bands. This contradicts the "SSB convention" of using LSB below 10 MHz, but this is PSK, not SSB.

Steve
W3HF

===========================================

USB? I thought if transmissions was normally LSB on 40 and USB on 20 that is what was supposed to be used. on 7038 i have been using LSB

I will try USB Later

Thanks
