We would like to remind you of this upcoming event.

San Andres on the air

Date: Saturday, July 20, 2002
Time: All Day

HK0ZZ will be on the air from July 16 until the 29th of july.
QSL to DH7WW.

Note that the callsign they are actually using is 5K0Z, not the
HK0ZZ that was advertised pre-trip. And they're on 20m PSK right
now.

Good luck.

Re: Using "Q"PSK?

Dieter, DL2RR <dl2rr@...>

Hi to all,

in addition to Steves notes it is to be said that the bandwidth of the
software in QPSK is usually reduced to 4 Hz (7 Hz at BPSK). Some, all older,
TRX are not stably enough to hold the frequncy during one over like my
IC735. In this case QPSK is a degradation for me. But with many idles
between the text there is a chance that the AFC can correct the drift. This
concerns both the sending and the receiving side.

Hi everybody,

today I received my BARTAG PSK-40 award (40 confirmed DXCC
entities in PSK-31 mode). I was surprised when I saw the
award number: 14. I am sure lots of subscribers to this
list do qualify for this award.

The good thing is that photocopies of the QSL cards are OK,
no need to send your precious cards to the award manager (G4KZZ).

Costas -

Congratulations. I, too, was surprised at how few BARTG PSK31-40
awards were given out. Mine (#7) was issued in May 2001. That puts
their issuance rate at about one every two months.
Thanks Steve, I had the required 40 cards by January 2002, but I had
to spend some time to sort the stack and separate all digital cards
from the SSB/CW ones.

It is strange that very few people apply, given the high level
of interest in the 070 award program - perhaps BARTG could
send some info and award pictures to K1BV for publication in his
CQ column.

Hi Steve,
Yes, you are right but the postage to Germany from the UK is different, it
is inland rate inside of Europe. But they haven't yet realized that Great
Britain is a European country.

It doesn't matter much. At current exchange rates, the euro is almost
exactly US$1 (within 1%). 6 UK pounds equals about 9.36 euros. So the
price is almost the same.
