Hi Guys:

There will be a sort of low key DXpedition to ND via a mobile
station on February 27/and 29 to attend the Bismark ND hamfest on
2-28. I am attempting to talk the other travelers in the car to allow
me to do PSK from their vehicle.

I am on LOTW, but not for ND as yet, so I would have to apply for
an additional location in my LOTW account. I have done this for
several other locations, so should not be too big of a deal. I
probably will see Nels W0TUP and perhaps POJ at the hamfest. Maybe I
can talk them both into trying the PSK modes.

Of course there are no promises at this point, as traveling ND in
the dead of winter can be, let's say, "problematic" . ;)

North Dakota

Hi all,
Just reading the messages about North Dakota, which is pretty difficult
from the UK, I have worked three stations from there on PSK but not
certain if they are still active.
WB9MVQ/0 in 2001 and K0TN and N0ELA in 2002.
Good hunting,
John (#073).

Welcome, welcome, welcome.

Do I smell a contest at 900 and of course the millenium???

How about a 900 lap race similar to Eliot's 500th member celebration?? May take a while to get that many laps in, but
will be a lot of fun collecting members.

Sprint ruling

Tom <tsingle0@...>

Hello everyone. I understand that the sprint starts at 2000 local
time and goes for 6 hrs. I won't be able to do much on this one, but I
do have a question that maybe Jay or Charlie can answer. I'm new to
all this contesting stuff so maybe this is clear to you more
experienced folks...or maybe I have't read the rules well enough..

Does a contact count if one of the two parties is not within the
contest time window?

In other words if I am in my PST time zone at 1701 and I QSO with
someone in EST zone at their local time of 2001, is that a qualified
contact for THEM?

Or do BOTH parties have to be within their local contest time zone
window in order for the contact to be valid?

What about contacts with non-participants if you get the OM/YL info,
etc? Do those count?

TNX in advance
Tom

Jerry,

Watch for KD4POJ - I have logged a couple of RTTY contacts with him and I
have seen him on the K3UK sked page. He has uploaded his log to LoTW the
same day as our contacts.

Good luck on getting ND on digital to finish up your TPA.

Have ND on CW & SSB, but still need RTTY/PSK. Worked (?) or so I thought,
W0TUP on RTTY, but he sez "nope !". There is another ND station active,
but hasn't been around in a while.

I'm on www.obriensweb.com/skeds/ almost daily/nightly.
