I don't see much on 40. It might be the very high (S-9) local noise level. Things look pretty good on 80, though. And I haven't even tried 160 yet.

Short version - I am using a Rigblaster Plus interface. I have the
sound output from my FT950 run to the back of the computer, and the
sound levels are showing up and I can decode the data using DM780. That
part is working. However, I can't hear the sound, no matter what I do
or how high I turn up volume levels. The computer sound works fine, I
can play music or whatever all day long, but I can't hear the sound from
the radio.

Second, the Rigblaster Plus is stuck in transmit mode for some reason
with Vista. I have tried to update the drivers per the Rigblaster
website and still no luck.

Can anyone help me?

If I can't get this fixed in the next few hours, I'll miss the 800th

Hi Patrick,

Vista handles sound devices differently than previous versions of Windows.
I had to make some adjustements here as I remember, but I don't remember
just what I had to do. Go here and try a few things:

*Control Panel > Hardware and Sound > Sound > Manage Audio Devices >* and
check the settings under the 'Playback' and 'Recording' tabs. Once I made
the correct selections here, everything worked for me. There was some trial
and error involved, of course.

I hope some of this helps ...

Greetings all,

Congrats Delos!

The LONP web pages at http://www.podxs070.com/ have been updated.

Thanks, Charlie.

I'll be operating as part of a group from VE2OJ in the ARRL 160 (CW),
but in the interests of simplicity I'll be either VE3KI/2 or just
VE3KI in the PSK31 contest, depending on when and where I am able to
operate from. This in turn depends on weather and on antennas. We'll
see how it goes.

For anyone who uses them, the spreadsheets for LONP tracking in the
Yahoo files area, as well as the basic MixW icons.cfg file in the
070
stuff folder, have been updated to #801.

I'll be operating in the ARRL 160 contest until 1600Z. If our host
isn't too eager to get us packed up and out of the way right away, I
might just try operating for a while from VE2; whether I do or not,
I'll be packing up the rig before very long and trying to get back
home in time to set up and make a few contacts from my home QTH in
the 800th member celebration. I only need two more members for my
next LONP endorsement.

Question for Charlie: If I operate from VE2, I could use a different
call sign (if only because of the trailing /2 that makes it
different). Would that make it two separate operations (i.e. someone
who worked me from both places could claim credit for both QSOs,
even
though the 070 # was the same)? Or should I avoid working dupes and
act as though it's a single operation? Of course, this may well be
academic - depending on how things go, I may not be able to get on
the air in PSK31 from one or the other or both locations anyway.
