internet ar this address. Incidentaly, These QSL's print out great on a 37

If you work a lot of PSK like I do this sure saves a lot of money in postage.

Hi Bob,
don't know how the qsl bureau is organized in the USA, in Germany you'll not
find many fans of the eqsl. We have a central qsl bureau and we pay for
the shipping of qsl's with our membership fee for the radio club. Since the
eqsl's are not valid for any award an eqsl is as good as no qsl at all. Maybe
the eqsl is cheap for you, but here in Europe many people (also hams) have
internet access with a modem and most of us pay by the minute, loading down a
picture with a slow modem can cost more than a simple stamp.
Anyway my old fashioned qsl card is already on the way to you.
Usually I qsl via bureau every first contact (mode or band), so every 070 member
I met for the first time in the TDW will get a qsl.

TDW

Dieter, DL2RR <dl2rr@...>

Hello 070ers,
here is a short summary of this weekend:

it was a nice however laborious TDW although all the bad conditions, but the
bad weather supports this enterprise. After an excellent start on Friday
morning unfortunately I had to go to QRL for all the day. Only in the night
I met some contesters on 40&80 meters.

Saturday was a disaster. Except Zoli, YO5CRQ, I didn't get any 070er all the
day, although some were heard both on 20m and on 40m too. Thus I played SWL,
hi. 15m was open, but not into the direction, where the 070 members were.
That had also a positive side effect: due to observe the band I got 5 new
countries in PSK31, hi. My new simple monoband LOOP for 15m supplied good
results.

Sunday resembled Saturday, but in the early morning I tried 7070 MHz with
success over the pond.
At night I met Ozkan, TA7I, on 40m straight before going QRT. We tried 15m,
but without success. I achieved here nevertheless still a few 070er. The
band was open for short time and Nandos signal was magnificently in the
middle in it.

my result: 23 * 29 + 400 = 1067

Congrats Nando and a very warm welcome on the other bands. You were doing great
during the contest, it was just we had bad luck with the condx.
Thank you for being there on the bands all Sunday and I wish you good luck with
your studies and everything else you want to achieve.

Dear 070ers,

I also had a great time working 20 of you. Thanks to all who made
the effort to hear my QRP 20m signal.

High Points:

1. Working both Ozkan and Ismail, TA7I and TA9J, my first QSOs
to Turkey! (Thanks, guys.)

2. All the other neat DX to Europe, DL2RR, DL2AYL, LZ4BU,
YL2FD, ON4CAS, MM0BSM, and OK1HBO.

3. Meeting a bunch of 070ers I've never worked before.

Low points:

1. Never even HEARING any of the PODXS guys. Heard a lot of
you others working them, but I was too close to them (here in
Pennsylvania) to get them on 20m.

2. Never hearing anyone in the 1st, 2nd, or 8th US call districts,
either. (This was also true during the TARA PSK Rumble.)

3. Not having anyone from Delaware, New Hampshire, or Wyoming
in the club. (Those are the three states I still need for Lower 48.)

4. Not being able to get any operating time at all on Sunday due to
family commitments.

All DX contacts will be QSLed, either via bureau or direct (with SAE
and return postage if I still need your country). All US QSOs will be
QSLed on request. (Email requests are fine.)

Thanks again to all of you for participating. And a special thanks to
the PODXS for organizing the contest.

73,
Steve

TDW was Fun

Nando -

Congratulations on the upgrade! Unfortunately I never did hear you glad I got
to work you in the rumble.

To everyone

I had a great time and looking to the next TDB this was fun even with all the
nonmembers that called to ask what is the 070 contest.

I worked 30 members and 47 contacts, but did not get one in the log but was
on the dup sheet with the number DARN! But I got to give out 4747 points that
was great for me. Hope I did OK buy everyone. I tried to work everyone and
could have done more but Saturday night no one could print me on 40 I was
told
"you are very weak and no print!!"

Hello All,
Well the first Three Day Weekend is over. I think everyone did an excellent
job, no matter how many or how few QSO's or points you made. I want to say a
special thank you to all of you who took the time to explain the 070 Club to
nonmembers. If you jotted down their call, don't be surprised if they're one
of the stations we're looking for in the next contest. Thanks to Erika for
making me see all those faint traces from your side of the pond. If it
hadn't been for you, I probably would not have seen them. Sorry for getting
Andris started, I only came on frequency to tell you where N3XC was. Curtis,
I told the 070 police about that "problem." You gotta ask KA3X or N3DQU
about that one. So much for the soapbox. Gotta go catch up on things I let
go to work the contest.

73 to all, can't wait for the next one.
