Hi All,
Well, I'm afraid I will miss the long awaited
070 Club, Three Day Weekend contest.
After 13 years of faithful service, running
contests flat out for periods of 24 hours, pulling
in enough QSO's to get RTTY, SSB and CW in all of
DXCC, WAC and WAS, the best Rig ever built is SK :(
It has had sickness before and I have always
managed, with a bit of luck, to pull her through
ready fer another sortie on the bands but this time,
after spending Friday evening and most of Saturday
..... yea! the old TS440 has .........
It will be sometime before I rustle up enough
Washingtons to replace her, I do hope to be back in
time fer the October Rumble.

see ya! Ernie WM2U
Ernie -

We'll miss you. Best wishes on getting a new rig soon,
and putting yourself back on the air.

I plan to be on at least for a few hours, but it will
be only on 20m, and only QRP. Still no progress on the
multi-band radio. :-(

BTW, if anyone has my email address in their address
books, please change it to the w3hf@arrl.net address.
My current ISP, Voicenet, is terminating their
relationship with my DSL provider, so it looks like
I'll be switching ISPs.

Radio passing

spdomingue@...

Ernie,,

I just climbed the tower to point the antenna at your location, sorry to hear
of the passing of your good friend. Hope to see you soon.

Well, Steve, W3HF maybe we can finally make a real QSO as I have a Tri-bander
up now and it is pointed right at your location.

Hope to see everyone next weekend, worked on tuned the system here this
weekend just for the event and maybe I can finish my quest to contact all the
070 members.

Setting sail

n1zzz@...

Well ladies and gents, I am leaving Friday for exotic ports of call.  I am on
a container ship that will sail from Cape Canaveral FL, to Houston TX, back
to Cape Canaveral, on to Brazil, and then to Ascension Island, and back to
Florida.  The trip will last for about 45 days.

I am going to bring my rig along with me, but whether or not the Captain will
let me string up some wire is another story.  I will try to work the 3 day
weekend if I can get some wire up, so look for N1ZZZ/MM on the bands from
next week to mid-July.  Now the only question is whether I can get a ZD8
call....

Jeremy N1ZZZ

P.S. Jay, please remove me from the reflector Friday until I send you an
email.  I have a feeling my mailbox will be full if I let it go for 6 weeks.

A word about the IOTA endorsement

N3DQU@...

Looks like this new IOTA endorsement is pretty popular already guys,
thanks for the great response! Just wanted to let you know that if you work a
lot of IOTA and don't want to clutter up your certificate with 10's, I will
make up an IOTA endorsement for any multiple of ten (i.e. 20, 30, etc) up to
100 that you want. When you send me your application, all you have to do is
send a log file with the number of entities you want credited for and I will
take it from there. So if you send me a log with 10 entities, I will send out
a 10; send me a log with 20 entities and I will send you a 20, etc. Hope this
helps you guys who are running short on space. Tnx es 73. Jay, N3DQU.

Bob, was your application or information for the WAC included with other
logs?  I can't find any reference to it in my logs. Also, please forward the
information to . Hi is the "other" Jay in the club and is in
charge of all endorsements except the 070 club certificate and the Ragchewers
certificate. Best 73.

Family first there Jay, but if you do get to DE in the future, give us all a
shout.  I hope that the medical problems aren't too serious.

Looks like I'm gonna be heading bk to OH instead. Some medical problems

How about a WARC band endorsement. Something

No WARC bands...This group is still growing for all the right reasons,  Let's
not risk being labeled as a bunch of LIDS.
