Date

10/20 Grids

Richard Rohrer

Will be in DM53, DM54, DM55 tomorrow.  Will post and text when hitting the grids.  Don't know what caused high SWR, but tested later in the day and all was ok.  Not able to connect to network at hotel so no report.  Thanks to all I contacted today.

The Volunteer Monitor (VM) Program is a joint initiative between the ARRL and FCC to enhance compliance in the Amateur Radio Service. This is the VM Program report for September 2021.

  • Technician-class operators in Mansfield, Ohio; Avon Park, Florida, and Pulaski, Tennessee, received Advisory Notices after making numerous FT8 contacts on 20 meters. Technician-class licensees do not have operating privileges on 20 meters.

Just worked dick from DM84. Missed the DM94 although I was sure I saw him call me faintly once.

Said he was headed to DM85.

Internet Outage.

Jim K5SP

My internet, and most of the towns internet is down.

Don't know the cause, but in the past it had been cut fiber leaving town.

Not ignoring everyone just don't have access to website and other club resources.

And, hate typing on this phone because fat fingers hut wrong keys.

Band conditions at 1100 UTC on 40 and 80 meters were not the best.  Got Rick on 40 meters and Alan on 80 meters.  Three more hours to finish for the 24/7 endorsement.  I was really tired this morning   Getting up at 4:00 am local time is taking a toll on this old man.  Remaining schedule is below.

Wednesday, Oct 20 1100-1130 UTC

Thursday, Oct 21 1100-1130 UTC

Friday, Oct 22 1100-1130 UTC

Thanks again,
Bob KK6KMU

Hi Grid Chasers,

Worked John, KC3FL today and he was about the only trace I could see on the waterfall.  Tomorrow will be a big grid day.  We will be going thru DM84, DM85, DM94 and DM95.  I have my list of who needs which of the grids and will try to text 1/2 hours before hitting the grid.  Will also send a text when we are on the grid boundary.  I have the list of who needs the grids and will start by calling those stations.  Then I will take calls from anyone else that want to say hi.

Michael-
The pleasure was mine.  I only regret that I am too old and encumbered to go with my grandsons and son and activate a JOTA station at their Camp.  We are a 3 generation Scouting family.  Long live Scouting!

Thursday, Oct 21 1100-1130 UTC
