The results are not all in yet. You have 7 days after to send them in. Don't
you think they might want to wait until everyone has had a chance to send
them in? I hope they do.
There's the small issue of actually writing the scorer that I have to
address, too. ;-)

It gets easier over time, but every event has its own little quirks. The
first time through, I've been taking the week between the contest and
the upload cutoff to devote to the writing/scoring. This week is no
different.

Once I have things coded, I'll be generating results and emailing them
out so everyone can have a chance to review their results before the
final overall results are posted.

John,

Oh, yes we do have ticks here in the chaparral.  I've pulled more off the dog than I could ever count.

In the silver lining department, we have a lot of Western Fence Lizards here.  They have an natural immunity to Lyme disease.  Once a tick bites a Western Fence Lizard, they are cured of Lyme disease, so this might be why we don't have as many cases of that scourge as other parts of the country.

I had other obligations over the weekend and could only hand out a few points in the Sprint.  I did see you and a lot of stations in the east that could not hear me.

Sounds like a possible FedEx SmartPost shipping/delivery where FedEx is the carrier but hand it off to the USPS for delivery. If FedEx gets it to the USPS hub near you quick enough that it will cause the package to ne delivered early the package will be bounced around non-sensically until it can return when it will be delivered on the projected arrival date. The USPS will NOT deliver the package prior to that date. Same deal with UPS SurePost. When I place an order I always make sure they do not use either of these hybrid shipping methods as I am not impressed by the USPS when it comes to packages.

Re: Going to Junk File

David, K9DWR

Chris,

From what I can tell, this is happening only to you (I'm not getting notifications of anyone else getting unsubscribed for the spam flag). According to the Documentation, this is likely something in your email client flagging 070 messages as junk, which the system is reading so unsubscribing.

From the docs:
"Reviewing members who were removed because of reported spam
Some email providers notify Groups.io when group messages end up in their (the provider’s) users’ spam folders. Most likely, the group messages were automatically flagged as spam by the email provider rather than having been specifically marked as spam by the users.

When Groups.io receives such a notification, the system automatically unsubscribes that member from the group. Groups.io also sends the member an email with a link that lets them automatically and quickly resubscribe to the group if the spam flagging was a mistake. The email lets the member know to check their spam folder and mark any messages in there from Groups.io as not spam, which trains the email provider’s spam filters to make fewer mistakes about Groups.io emails."

As Steve has suggested, a review of filters in your client may be in order. Have you recently changed email clients?

One think about retirement, you never get a day off. On top of that, looks like I got a good spider bite on my arm from FD. I been through two antibiotics, creams, antihistamines. It’s finally looking better yesterday. Funny thing, it never hurt a bit. Just a huge big red mark with a bit in middle. Oh well.

I was hoping to climb walls and shoot webs out my arms...never happened.

I saw you and tried but just couldn't make the connection.  Propagation was pretty much limited to east coast for me that night, however I normally get into all areas.  Better condx should be coming soon.  I hope.

No, the results cannot be posted until end date for log submission, which is one week from the close of the contests.

Unfortunately, our old scorer no longer works, and K9DWR is having to rewrite scorers for each contest, and these do not provide the standings like the old scorer (yet).

I would assume not since ops have up to 1 week to submit their logs. So in order to put out any official results you would have to wait until after  the time period has expired to ensure you had all qualifying submissions.

Immediately behind my lot is the Palatlakaha River - 1/2 mile wide and 6 inches deep - known to us northerners as swamp, but the HOA calls it wetlands.  There be snakes and gators!  No one walks their pet behind us - not more than once anyway.

40m Sprint - my results

K4VBM

I submitted my .ADI file for the 2020 40m Firecracker Sprint.
All my activity was at the beginning -- I looked quite frequently on actual Sunday, but really didn't see many traces
on the waterfall like I did during the first 6 hours.

Propagation was very strange on 40m - mostly local.
I had 32 contacts in my chosen 6 hour segment.
Here is the break down by state/province:

OH - 5
MD - 2
NE - 1
FL - 7
NY - 1
KY - 1
PA - 3
TX - 3
NC - 4
ON - 1
IN - 1
IL - 1
CO - 1
MI - 1

I got 10 new LONP, and completed the CarolinaDouble endorsement (yeah, I had more than 32 contacts in total,
and one was SC).
Was a fun weekend!
Thanks to everyone for the contacts! :)

Stay safe, and 73,
