I think the terrain got him.  He was N bound on 264 and that is lots of canyons and mesas. Saw him work another couple of stations, then a EA station opened calling CQ USA right on top of him.  Saw Stan move up and continue calling...then Dick was gone, gone, gone.  But everyone hang in there.  He should pop back up when the road gets up on top of one of the mesas.
