It's 30m... just not very stable.  Lots of QSB and signals changing around from one area to the next.  Hang in there !
While some of the bands may look "dead" putting out a call or two might shake someone's tree and you might get an answer.    It's like fishing in that when you drop your hook in the water(fall) , you never know what you're going to catch.
