Re: 2015 Valentine's Day Sprint

I guess a 6 hour block means once you start, you have a maximum of 6 hours to compete.  I'll be on tonight at 0000 UTC for 6 hours or until there's no one left to work.
It will be interesting and hopefully fun.  My guess the rules need to be clarified a bit.  Suppose after I have finished my 6 hour block, can I make a QSO with another station so as to count in their scoring even if I cannot count it in my scoring?    I'm working on grids and other awards and would like to get as many QSOs in the log even if they don't count for my score.  I expect there will be some 40 meter activity by club members late in the contest on Saturday afternoon/evening EST.  Do I submit my adif for the entire 24 hour period or just pick out the 6 hours?  (The remainder of my QSOs would then become a check log.)
Maybe David's most excellent super whizbang Contest Scorer has this all figured out and I just need to make QSOs.
Happy Valentine's everyone!

Hi Matt,

If I understand this correctly, the VD Sprint starts this
evening at 18:00 CST since we are UTC -6. I'm not sure I
understand why the busiest time would be 12:00 UTC to 18:00 UTC,
that would be 6 am to noon here in the CST zone. I'm not a
morning person and I had the impression that 160m and 80m were
better in the evening.

Anyway thanks for the reminder, I would have missed the test
thinking it was the old 8 pm local start time.
