Re: How to tune?

Hi Milt,
I am using a Rascal by BuxComm ( no jack for speaker/headphone ), which works fine on the 746pro....no Monitor capability on this old box though..hihi. I am still playing with it, trying to make it work. It receives fine, the TX is the problem, but it might just be the soundcard settings...I have a nice long weekend to play with it. I just had the 725 fixed after it sat on the shelf for about 4 years, and since the dataport of the 746 messed up, I am trying this rig until my main rig is fixed. The IC725 is a "no bells and whistles" rig. I can see output on the meter, I just can't monitor what it sounds like..or if there is any sound at all for that matter...Never thought I would run into that problem as all my other rigs have a monitor function...How spoiled we are ..hi

Hope to be able to get it working and make some contacts....it has been a while....

John, what interface are you using?
Some have a speaker jack.
Also, do you have a "MON" (Monitor) button on the 725?
Milt.

Hi All,

I have my backup rig ( Icom 725 ) hooked up and receiving just fine, but I
have trouble finding out if I am driving it OK. I am spoiled when I was
using my 746Pro, I could monitor the audio output, this oldie does not have
that capability. Any ideas on how to properly set this up Transmission
wise? Any suggestions welcome.
