I've come up with a solution to this problem.
I'm now feeding my vertical with 300 ohm ladder line, and impedance

is not a problem, because the 50 ohm feedpoint impedance goes into 300 an
even number of times, so matching is not needed. I use one conductor of

ladder line for transmit and the other conductor for receive. Pretty

eh ?

One important enhancement that has been neglected. Examine your coax

determine the design characteristics. Should the lettering on the coax
read from the radio to the direction of the antenna, then it is of the
transmitting variety .... lettering reading from the antenna down to

radio would be the receiving variety ..
although you may use one cable for both functions ... much better to use

one

of each design in parallel to optomize both your transmit and receive
capabilites. There is a down side to this ... It is harder to twist
cables in parallel... you may need a surplus prop pitch motor!

OK Guys, I think with your help, I've got my problem worked out.
Now let me see if I've got this right, I mount my rotor upside down,

then

drill the connector and install a cotter pin and crimp the connector

with

vice grips for added security, and always make sure I turn the rotor

the

right.
Now, as Don pointed out that the natural twist, after a few hours of
operation, will make the antenna circularly polorized, seems to me

somewhere that I heard that the folks who talk through them satellites

all

use circularly polorized setups, so I'll be able to work PSK31 through

the

Birds. Man, I'm gettin really excited about all this, I can't wait to

get

an

EQSL from the International Space Station !
